Oh well, miss EV demanded me to answer her question which i removed in the tag; there's just too many la..

Let's see...
1. (ok EV hope u're gonna laugh your ass off over this). I kinda vaguely remembered this, happened when i was very young (~5 y.o.o). So there i was, climbing up the stairs to the top of the slide. Some sense of triumph within me, as i've reached the top. I saw down, ready to slide down to my oblivion. Suddenly, i heard my uncle went "Aaww..." and my cousin "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!" I was blur, they pointed to my pants. Oops.. my peepee was out, the shorts i wore koyak wan >< I couldn't remember the rest.

2. Was in tuition centre, Prasad. That dude just passed us some new paper, with questions naturally. He was talking in front, i was looking thru the paper. Prasad stopped talking (i dunno why), i didn't notice and was looking at the questions, and went "Walauwe!!" (kinda loud). That time, the whole class was very quiet, and suddenly i said out loud "Walauwe!!"
Everyone, i mean EVERYONE turned around and looked at me (i was sitting at the back), Prasad also puzzled at what happened.

3. Let's see.... I've got a few moments too many when suddenly alot of faces turn to me ><
Ah... Here's one. In Pandiyan's tuition class (why do i get embarrassed in tuition classes so often wan?) Well he was teaching something (Radioactive decay i think), i was like kinda dreamy. Pandiyan said, "Kinwai come back from 6AS1 ady."

That's about it i can recall la, although there're still alot more
hope i managed to make u laugh chocolatesouffle, without the h ya?

My friends were eating happily, thank goodness they like it ^^
But i can only eat a few spoonfuls. My body still rejects insertion of food.

I suffered from indigestion last sem too. For whole of 2 weeks i eat less than a cat. Yeah lost lotsa weight of cos. Hmmm....

No girls don't do this. It affects your health badly!! U'll have no energy to do anything wan!

More on WZC

That stands for Wing Zero Custom, which is the Gundam i'm working on currently.

The wings, left side is polished with Tamiya Compound Fine, the right just plain silver

Left wing, polished. Personally i didn't like it.

The right side, without polishing. Prefer this one, has a more metallic look

Body frame; gold.

Front side. Hope can get the shine effect in this pic.

With flash. A bit too bright, but think can get the gold effect a bit here.

Today's progress ain't too bad. Finished AB all the joints for the wing parts. Left it in the shop to dry, and took back the body frame only as a sample.

Tomoro (friday) i planned not to go wan, gotta study abit (who am i kidding...), but then this dude says he mod his Freedom (a gundam) with LED inside. It's so cool la, so gotta go and see how he does it.

Haha haha. Excuses.....

The wing part. There's more, but just sample a few.

Just love this part. It's seems sooo smoooth

Previous take too much flash.

Another part. This one kinda hard to AB, cos got lotsa 'longkang'

Hopefully everything will turn out nice la...

That's all for now. Next post; love in uni? Hmmm....

As y'all should've known by now, rounding offs to the nearest 5 cents will be taking place next month, 1st of April (what a way to get fooled...) Some think it's reasonable, as rounding offs only take place at the total.

E.g. U buy stuffs of RM 10.06 + RM 9.99 + RM 5.44 = RM 25.44
U pay RM 25.45.

Sounds reasonable right, as they round off only at the total.
But of cos, some paranoid ones who live among us thinks it'll be a great way to cheat off money. Well yes, it's possible to do so. Imagine, every items they now round UP to the nearest 5 cents, the profit they gain will be waaaay alot. U can easily imagine how much hypermarkets like Tesco/Giant will be making out of these little cents.

But, i believe there'll be check and balances in this case. As we know, these hypermarkets compete constantly to provide the lowest price possible. And as most of the Bolehlandites are pretty nit-picky, and that few cents really matters!! By rounding up, the hypermarket only risks to lose out customers.

But let's look at the accounts point of view, and this is the place where all nightmares begin.
I'll quote directly from a forumer ay Lowyat.net. (thanks b00n for allowing me to use this)

For instance over the counter customer A is suppose to pay RM1.02 but because of rounding, customer A paid RM1.
Customer B pays the same amount i.e RM1.
But accounting wise, the goods are sold at RM1.02 + RM1.02 = RM2.04. Yet received only RM2 actual cash.
If customer buy 2 of the Rm1.02 products, he supposedly has to pay RM2.04; but instead he paid RM2.05. So if day end calculation is based on customer C, they would have an excess of RM0.01 difference.

If we are to group customer A, B and C purchases it would equal to RM4.08 sold. But actual receivable is only at RM4.05. So net net if they are to look at accounting; there would be a difference of RM0.03.

So wonder how traders especially those that dealt with imposing the 5% or 10% tax would do their accounting treatment. Banks would have even bigger headaches as they look at interest. sweat.gif

edit
magine this.
Item A priced at RM1.01. So in their books it's published at RM1.01. So by right if I cleared 2 of the product, I should get RM2.02 but yet the money I received is Rm2.00. Ok, can basically round it down to RM2.00 in the accounting book. But what if it's sold separately 3 times. i.e. Rm1.01 round down to Rm1.00 every transaction thus received money of RM1 x 3 = Rm3. Accounting books now would show sell of 3 items = Rm1.01 x 3 = Rm3.03. So now should it be rounded up or rounded down to reconcile between amount rounded received vs the book?!

That's the accounting problem I foresee in their books. But since I'm not into finance or accounting, I do not know how they're going to overcome this problem. Let's hope there's someone from this background to give us some insights.

There's alot more to that, but nay, i wouldn't wanna bore the hell out of u all. Just thought this is some rather interesting info to share wit all of u all.

Rounding off.

Hmmm... Unhappy with the recent election results, Penang UMNO voices out to cancel all mega projects in Penang, including the 2nd Penang Bridge.

MALACCA, Sat:

Supporting the call by Umno Penang for all BN mega projects in Penang be stopped, Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam put the blame on voters who decided that they did not want the major projects by voting in for the opposition.
"We have to stop all major projects to Penang as this is what the people wanted. If we continue with the project it would be almost impossible for us to regain control of the State in the next General Elections,” the Malacca Chief Minister said.

"If we stop all major projects, the people would realise what they had lost and would then come back to the BN. This is the only way we could recapture the State in the future from the opposition," he told reporters after visiting the Menara Taming Sari project near Dataran Pahlawan along Jalan Merdeka, here, today.

The proposed Penang mega projects include those planned under the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), the second Penang Bridge, the light monorail transit system, the Penang Outer Ring Road, the Penang Sentral and the RapidPenang bus service.

"The people in Penang have clearly rejected development and they want a change," he said.
In the March 8 polls, Umno only won two parliamentary seats and 12 state seats in Penang.

It's weird isn't it? IMO, fine it's fair saying tht since the opp is in control, let them develop the states then. But this mega project was under negotiation even before the election. It spells sore-loser outright to me with this statement.

From what i've gathered, the decision on future plan still lies in Pak Lah's hands. I sincerely hope he'll make a wise decision.

What i interpret is this, from tht statement above, it feels like being ruled by an oppressive regime. I.e. "if u don't vote for me, u're gonna get it."

Tht's the reason why your party lost.

Voted for change

Yay. Hurray for the people's power! We've voted for change!

Piss off No.1:
But wtf is with the system... PAS has lowest votes but MB for Perak was chosen from PAS?
2nd Penang bridge is cancelled. Why? Penang under control of Opp.

Piss off No.2:
I dunno bout u guys, but it sickens me, whenever the newspaper tells success stories of how many A's were scored for SPM. The latest record is at 21 A1's and 1 A2. I'm sure that the mass media was among the culprit of the status of mentality of Bolehlandites today; your worthiness is judged by the amount of A's u get.

It's one thing to get A's, but i felt it's totally the other to get more A's than necessarily needed. 22 subjects?? WTF. Ppl might get the idea that this dude studies really hard and hence his work pays off.

As i always love to put it, there's always another way to look at shit.

Something must be terribly wrong with the system that A's can be obtained so easily. In fact, SPM's standard at best is questionable. During my years, i heard this phrase, and it's never ever gonna let slip from my memory.

It was a workshop on how to score for A person asked if she gave such an answer to a question, is it correct. The speaker promptly replied "Jawapan itu betul tetapi tidak diberi markah."
O_o Betul tapi takde markah?

So, our students now, are we:
A. Concerned in pursuing knowledge and understand what we learn
B. Nay, just gimme the formulas and things i need to know to get an A.

U tell me...

Pissing off.

I know my next post should be on the election, but heck, this is just as interesting as well. Haha!

Malaysian DreamGirl, Episode 1-part 1.

Part 2.

It's not on TV. So don't be wasting your time browsing thru the channels searching for Malaysian Dreamgirl. It's online punya. There's obvious reasons why they wouldn't wanna put it in TV. Because if they do, we'll be in a 'more-is-less' situation, i.e. they put on more cloths, we see less.

Adlynn (the first one to go thru) is hawt....

An awakening article, and which i believe is very true. Although the election had started, just wanna share this wit u guys

When the small group of rival debaters with mutually benefiting interests
sat together to form this network of Malaysian debaters, debate elements
were not our only concern. We worried if we were contravening rules designed
to control university students. We worried if our gathering in that
McDonalds was an illegal assembly. We worried if speeches made in the
pursuit of excellence would be seditious, and would our government or
university stand up for us.

Thankfully those worries have not come to fruit, but neither have they
dissappeared. We have a thriving community, powered by bright, vocal,
engaging youth. It is a free and fair community, without compulsion or
politics or racism. But above and around us hang a blanket of fear, powered
by selfishness, idiocy and brutality.

Irregardless your political ideology (in Malaysian politics, that just means
race) what cannot be denied is the political dominance of the party in power
has made them arrogant and abusive. Corruption is not a shameful exception,
it is a way of life. Trial before incarceration is not a right, it is a
luxury in the hands of one man. It is not citizens who run this country
through their politicians, it is citizens who are kept running so career
politicians can get fat and build palaces.

Malaysia needs change, and we need to bring it.

If you have decided you will vote for change, good on you. Now you need to
spread and empower that change. Give your friends and family 3 good reasons
to vote the party in power out, lend your articulate voice to those who are
putting their mortgages on the line to run in your name, share your ideas
and make their ideas better. You don't have to stand on the front lines, but
you can support those who do. I can tell you where to start.

If you have decided to vote to keep the status quo, please tell me why. As a
fellow Malaysian, I deserve to know why you are condemning me to more of
same, so I may explain to the people who suffer why their neighbours think
this is still the better choice.

But you must decide, and you must act.

This is not a directive, this is a plea. A personal plea to friends with
whom I share a passion and a nation. We have a golden chance to make change,
but we must make, not just hope for it.

At the end of the day, what this boils down to, is that this is one debate
that could actually change your life depending on what you say, and who you
vote. Use your 7 days well.

Sincerely,
XXXXX

It's from one of the most prominent former debater of Malaysia. I felt it's really thought provoking. And i believe it's being implemented now. Till i get more info and confirmation, i'll start my next post shortly.

Vote for change.

KLIUC

hApart from the 5 minutes of 'fame' that we almost got into, the friendly were quite good. At least the newer debaters somewhat reached my expectation of them. Yes! I'm glad we're making progress.

There guys from Uniten, KLIUC itself, UKM, MMU cyber, IIUM as well as UiTM Shah Alam. It's fun to see some newer faces, cooler still to see familiar faces (I swear Ips look like a Jamaican now. He's an indian though).

Overall there were 4 rounds, with 1 final round. From UTM, we have 1 team (3 debaters, 1 reserve; me) and 2 adjudicators. I wasn't exactly in the team, although i was more like an observer.
So, for the first 2 rounds, i just let the guys handle themselves, while intervening every now and then to help out. Of cos mistakes were made, but they're learning from it. I can only see improvement in them.

On the other hand, in the 3rd round, Uniten were nowhere to be found! So a swing team was required. FYI, swing is made of ppl who're not debating in the tourney. Seeing i wasn't debating (well, technically), i volunteered. And holy crap! I was teaming up with Dr Omar! For those not in the debate community, Omar's achieved the status of DemiGod in debate. He's been around ever since Uni Debate was established. And hell yeah he's good. Feels... surreal to be debating with him! To be with a legend! Wow.... Yes Esther it's almost equivalent to u going up the stage and singing along with the BSB's.

For the last round, because the motion was like so.... "Waaaaat?? O_o" i have to debate for the team. The motion? "This house believes that Ronald McDonald should run for US president." Yeah, like WTF...

But we won!! Haha. Because the opposition team couldn't adapt and failed to engage with us. Lol!

B4 we went back to UTM, we had dinner at this restaurant; Pizza San Francisco. The pizzas are like soooooo gooooood. The amount of cheese were just nice. It's quite new too, eating pizza with cili padi! They sprinkle some of those hot lil' things on the pizza, so when u bite into those cheesy crusts u can feel the heat. Revolutionary!!

Another record in my book of driving experience. From Serdang (UPM) to UTM JB, it took me only about 2 hours 15 minutes.

Yeap that was FAST..
Tiu wtf was going at only 170.. Usually at 180 wan.

Driving out

Sunday, March 2, 2008

It was really close, just a breath away from making it to the headlines;

"5 pelajar UTM maut dalam kemalangan ngeri lebuh raya."

Seriously... I'm still haunted by the incident. As said in previous post, we went to KLIUC friendly over the weekend. On the way there (i drove us there), it was raining quite heavily along the way. Was following behind a car (Toyota Wish), and going at 100km/h (relatively slow).

Suddenly, i felt as though the steering's rebelling my control. So i grasp it harder. The next thing i know is, the whole car swerved to the left. Control over the car was lost!

Thankfully....
1. I was holding the wheels hard, and managed to steer it back.
2. There's no car on the left lane.
3. I didn't slam on the brake.
4. I kept my cool.

If any, ANY of the 4 didn't occur, i wouldn't be here posting an entry on blogspot.
It still amazes me, how i can be so cool and composed when that happened. But after that, whenever i think about it, i really prayed to God (anyone up above there) and thank Him (Them) for saving our lives.

It was close. It's either we reach KLIUC, or we reach hospital, or worse, we end up in a mortuary.

Fortunately, we reached KLIUC in one piece, and we're back to UTM in one piece as well. I shall blog on the tourney next entry.

Gratefully signing out.
