Anyway, the debate experience wasn't wat i wanna blog about.

I was talking to Alex from MMUM. We go waaaaay back in debate tourneys. Knew him since 1st year i think.

What we chatted about really got me thinking about my commitment in debate club :/

Me: U still active in debate man?
Him: Yeah, but slowly retiring now. I'm passing on the club to the juniors now.
Me: Yeah, final year ady eh?
Him: yeap. But also I wanna step out of the debating circle. Gotta join some other social clubs too. I don't wanna limit my social circle to those just from debates.
Me: Hmmm made sense. :)

I have, all my years in UTM, gave 150% commitment into debate club.
I gotta admit, at certain points (in fact there're alot of points) i felt as though i'm the only one commiting myself.

Others have other commitment besides debate. Mel's with IEM+Swim+a whole lot of others.
MK's with his research team with lecturer + Jap.
Zhang, Allan with their AIESEC stuffs.
Steven with his bridge thingy.
Ho Inn always wander around.
Khye Lih wit PELTAC

So all tht's left are Kin Hoe, Wen Zhe and I.
I certainly hope Wen Zhe will stay in debate club. I felt sorta bad poking so much of fun at him the other day. He was rather mad at me.

I wanna leave debate club. I think i really do.
But there're few things that's stopping me:
1. i love debate. Period. Not only i learn how to express myself in the best way, i can vent out my anger too in a legal way.

2. I felt compelled to ensure the growth of the club. I've said it a bajillion times, but really Debate Club is the only reason tht kept my mind sane (and sharpen it) while being at UTM.

3. I felt there's a responsibility of mine to pass on my knowledge that i've gotten from Chong, Kin Lik and Keith. (fuck i miss u guys... i really do...)

I don't even know where can i go. Should i go and have a try at AIESEC?
IEM's a joke now ever since tht stu-politician-dent took over.
Golden Key, i don't even know wat's happening.

Maybe i'll leave next semester. I wanna join tournaments end of this year.

I hope i have the strength and determination to do it.

Face Problem. An insult phrase I've learnt from LYN Kopitiam.

It's so applicable in any situation, for any ppl, and will bring maximum annoyance (provided u use it correctly of cos).

So let's see wat are the possible situations to use this insult phrase:

Case 1.
A: WTF!! How come i kena summon but the next car tak kena?
B: Face problem.
A: @$#$^%$&^$&

Case 2.
A: Walan... u and i same method, how come i kena potong markah!?
B: Face problem.
A: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Case 3.

That's the best part u see, while the response can be totally unrelated to the statement made, but still it can bring about massive annoyance.
Your friend might be ranting on and on and complain, but the best part is, u can totally annoy the hell out of them by just saying 2 words;
FACE PROBLEM.

But of cos, do this only with ppl u're close with, and they know u're joking. It'll end up in very very good laughs. XD

I was at my uni home today. Ordered the breakfast set but they serve the teh in a glass!!!

But rather it's about making a business case model. Which is something new.

It was one of the best experience i've had in life so far. I've met lots of awesome ppl there. Totally inspiring.

When they walked into the room, u can immediately feel their presence. The sheer aura of charisma and confidence seems to radiate from the very centre of their being.

They walked through the door, I looked at them, and i can only look at them in awe and uttered "Holy crap! She/He's AWESOME!"

The competition has 2 rewards:
1. Prize money:

1st prize: RM 12 000
2nd prize: RM 8000
3rd prize: RM 4000

Do be divided by 4, it's still a substantial amount of money!

2. Fast Pass to join BAT
The procedure to join BAT is quite long and challenging. So with this Fast Pass, one can jump the procedure straight to the final interview, and if successful will become a Management Trainee in BAT.

What's a Management Trainee? It's a programme in BAT that caters to train undergrads in certain department in BAT e.g. HR or Finance. Monthly salary of RM3500, upon finishing the programme of 2 years, after the first year salary will be increased by RM700. After that is RM1000 per year. Within 4 years afrer completion, the MT should be eligible to become a manager. Another 2 years from there, should be a Senior Manager.

So yeah, the perks are incredibly high!

But one of my biggest letdown, is that i fell sick on just one day prior to the competition. I had food allergy, which i didn't know i have!

Driving back to KL on tueday, with the sun glaring at me, i really felt like i'm dying. Halfway on the highway, i asked Kin Hoe to take over while i take refuge in the backseat.
Nevertheless, i was literally wasting away. My fever and cough was getting out of control and my head was swollen.

Fortunately, Kin Hoe sent me to a clinic near his house, which the doc told me it's allergy reaction and gave me medicines.

Long story short, i took med, and swelling went down. After sleep, fever and swelling+itching are all gone.

But still, i was feeling rather weak. During the competition, i know i didn't perform well. Not even close to my optimum level. However, i felt very happy and gifted to not only get to know such awesome ppl, but to work together with them as a team is just a priceless experience which i'll never forget.

Last night i couldn't sleep. In fact, i cried on the bed. Because i know for a fact i could've perform way better. But i was sick. I pressed logic onto myself that hey, it's just my luck. But the tears just came and i couldn't hold back. Like M Shinoda said, "10 percent luck." I just happened to have 0 of it that day.

Nonetheless, after that i felt better, and as though i'm passing through another phase in my life. I felt grown up and just feeling very light hearted. I haven't been sleeping since yesterday till now (11am) but i'm still feeling very active! :)

To the guys; Melissa, Meng Kuan and Kin Hoe. I'm really proud of u guys. We've gone way back and come this far. It's been my pleasure to be able to trot this path of life together with u guys.
